Our Mission

Our Company Program is designed to offer a well-rounded, balanced, and accelerated dance experience. Dancers can expect elevated performance opportunities, exposure to a broad range of dance styles, and high-level, art-focused training. Alongside competition, we emphasize education, creativity, and skills that support a lifelong relationship with the arts.

Just as important, we are committed to a safe, positive, and supportive community—one that encourages dancers to grow not only as artists and athletes, but also as confident, thoughtful humans. We actively strive to balance strong training with family time, accessibility, and the freedom for students to explore other interests.

June – Performer’s Intensive & Auditions

Movement Company Performer’s Intensive & Auditions 2026, ages 9+, June 15th-18th, 5-8pm. Auditions on Thursday, June 18th, 2026.
- Pre-Company Intensive & Placements, ages 6+, June 16th-17th, 5-6:30pm.

July – Training & Community Performance

Movement Company Ballet, Training, and Tap Class. Thursdays in Louisburg. June 23rd – July 30th, 2026 (no classes the week of 4th of July, June 29th-July 4th).
- Pre-Company Training, Rehearsal, and 1 class of choice. Tuesdays in Louisburg. June 23rd – July 30th (no classes the week of 4th of July) . Performance at end of summer session TBA, 6:30 PM, KC Monarch Baseball Game *Kstate Day!

August – Company choreography week

Movement Company. Mandatory – Sunday, August 23rd – 27th 2026, 5-8 PM

October or January – Convention. Movement Company, Pre-Company can attend, but not required.

December – Holiday Performance & Outreach. Both Companies.

February – Company Showcase “Competition Kick-off” final Saturday of month, 3 PM. Both Companies.

March – April – 1 Travel & 2 local competitions. Movement Company x 3, Pre- Company x 1

May – Recital! Both Companies

Movement Company Auditions

Required audition material: Performer’s Intensive (Audition Prep) June 15th – 18th, 2026. Audition Thursday, June 18th 2026.

*Please inquire if you are interested in auditioning, but do not have those dates available. An alternate audition process can be arranged.

Audition Attire: Black Leotard, black spandex shorts, and tights is required Audition dress code.

Performer’s Intensive: All styles of choreography classes with an emphasis on Performance skills, different teacher and style for each day. Accelerated levels of multiple styles and Leadership.

Audition requirements: Auditions are an important element to their growth as a performing artist. We value the audition process to better prepare them for similar future experiences and learn the worth of their work. Dancers will start with 30 minutes of Ballet Barre, followed by across the floor leaps and turns, then perform a one minute dance combination all learned at Performer’s Intensive, and finish with 30 seconds of improv. 3 Dancers per group. Dancers that make Movement Company are then required to attend a mandatory parent/dancer meeting to discuss season details with Miss Lacy in August and also attend Choreography Material week (last week of August).
